International Council of Women:The ICW has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC). ICW represents millions of women in its affiliated councils in all continents of the globe. ICW objectives are: to help women help themselves; to promote equal rights and responsibilities for both men and women; to promote recognition and respect for human rights; to support all the efforts for peace; to bring together women from all continents in unity within diversity; to encourage the integration of women in development. Australian Women’s Coalition: National Council of Women of Australia was involved in the formation of the Australian Women's Coalition in 2001. AWC brings together a number of national women's organizations to establish priorities and to increase communication between Government and their members. AWC is one of the four secretariats funded by the Office of the Status of Women.

NCWA values the information available from the Women's Portal. The Women’s Portal is a directory service that provides access  government information services and resources of relevance to women, provided by the OFW - The Australian Government Office for Women.

National Council of Women of Australia is also a founder partner of the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN). In 2005 NAPCAN began promoting the idea of a child friendly Australia. This includes setting up Child Friendly Community Action Networks, to support parents and to encourage the general public to 'take the child friendly challenge'.
