The National Council of Women Australia (NCWA) 2024 Triennial Conference and AGM was held at Union House at the University of South Australia Adelaide over the 21st and 22nd November 2024.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Fiona Dorman as NCWA’s 29th President. Fiona brings extensive experience, a commitment to advocacy, and a passion for community service to her role as President. With a background in scientific research and leadership roles, including Chair of the Premier’s Council for Women and Co-Founder of the South Australian Women’s Fund, she focuses on impact through collaboration, evidence-based practices, and social reform. An active member of NCW SA since 2006, Fiona is dedicated to fostering belonging, championing women’s voices, and driving meaningful change for women in all their diversity.

The 2024-2027 Executive team includes Vice President Yvette Kinkade, Treasurer Chiou See Anderson and Secretary Laura Hicks. Board Members are Sandy Smith, Claire Newland, Caterina Sullivan, Elida Brereton, Dorothy Kelly, Margaret Findlater-Smith OAM and Chantelle Stratford PSM. Delegations from across Australia were tasked with deliberating and exchanging ideas on eight resolutions of which five were passed across important issues from health to technology to STEM.
