Equal Pay Day Event

Equal Pay Day.

Thank you President Susan of BPW Adelaide and Gillian Lewis, National President of BPW Australia for your important event to mark Equal Pay Day.
Equal Pay Day is the symbolic day dedicated to raising awareness of the gender pay gap.
Workplace Gender Equality Agency says: “August 19 is the national Equal Pay Day 2025.
The day marks the end of the 50 additional days into the new financial year that women in Australia need to work to earn the same pay, on average, as men.”
This year’s theme is “How does your employer measure up? When’s your Equal Pay Day?”
There are many drivers of unequal pay throughout the course of a lifetime.
Also marking the day was Louise Miller-Frost MP; a vocal champion for equality.
The esteemed Guest Speaker was the Bradley Distinguished Professor, UniSA Business, Professor Carol T Kulik; speaking about the challenges and drivers of pay gaps at all ages.
I thank the wonderful BPW members for welcoming us to your event.
Fiona Dorman
President National Council of Women Australia
