One of the first events attending CSW67, President Chiou See Anderson and Hon. Secretary Laura Ives Hicks attended the Australian Consulate in New York. The event was hosted by H.E. The Hon. Mitch Fifield, Ambassador and Permanent Representative Permanent Mission of Australia to the United Nations.
With fellow Australians, Hon. Mary Wooldridge, Director WGEA and Simone Clarke, UN Women Australia CEO and Juliana Nkrumah from Settlement Services International.
President Anderson met three inspiring young women waiting in line for a UN grounds pass. They are part of a 15-member delegation representing female medical students. The women are from Thailand, 4th-year medical students, Brazil 4th year and Peru 6th year.
